The short version
This Privacy Policy explains how the Askio AI application — published on Google Play as "Askio AI: Chat & Ask AI" ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") — handles information when you use it. By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Askio AI is an AI assistant that answers questions and creates content using third-party AI models. It requires an internet connection. AI responses may be inaccurate. It is not affiliated with OpenAI, ChatGPT, Google or any AI provider.
To generate answers, images and summaries, the text prompts, files or documents, images, and voice input you provide are sent to our third-party AI service providers, and the result is returned to your device. This content is processed only to fulfil your request and operate the service; we do not sell it. Uploaded files and inputs are retained only as long as needed to provide the feature and are then deleted; contact us to request deletion sooner.
Your chat history and preferences may be stored on your device. Optional purchases and coins are processed by Google Play Billing — we receive a purchase token, not your card details.
Through the third-party SDKs below, the App processes standard mobile technical data such as device model, OS version, language and country, app version, coarse (IP-derived) region, app-instance identifiers, and the Google Advertising ID. This supports analytics, crash reporting, attribution and advertising.
The app shows ads. Ad partners may process your Advertising ID, coarse IP-derived location, and ad-interaction events to deliver and measure ads. See Third-party SDKs and Your rights & choices.
If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message so we can respond.

Analytics, Crashlytics (crash reporting), Cloud Messaging (notifications) and Remote Config. Data processed: app-instance ID, device model, OS version, language, country, screen views, anonymized usage events, and crash stack traces.

Serves ads in the free app. Data processed: Google Advertising ID, coarse IP-derived location, and ad-interaction events. Personalized vs. non-personalized ads depend on the consent you give through the in-app UMP prompt.

Install attribution and fraud prevention. Data processed: Advertising ID, hashed device fingerprint, install timestamp, and conversion events.

Ad attribution and measurement for Meta campaigns. Data processed: Advertising ID, app install/open events, and conversion events. This SDK is not used for Facebook login and does not access your Facebook profile or friends.

Because the App is ad-supported, the advertising and attribution partners named above necessarily receive the limited identifiers described in Section 4. Some laws (e.g. CCPA) may treat ad-related sharing as a "sale" or "sharing" — see Your rights & choices.
We share data as described here, with our third-party AI service providers (to generate responses), Google (Play, Play Billing, Firebase, AdMob), Adjust and Meta Platforms (ad measurement), plus authorities where required by law. We do not sell your content.
Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your data, and to opt out of personalized advertising.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country); AI chat and companion features are intended for older users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and our advertising and analytics SDKs are not configured for child-directed treatment. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
The App is operated with infrastructure and partners that may process data in the United States, the European Union and other countries. Where data is transferred internationally, our partners rely on safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
We rely on Android's application sandbox and scoped storage to isolate App data, and our SDK partners use HTTPS/TLS in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, noted in the App or Google Play release notes. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
